I am impressed!

In the Sherlock Holmes story, "The Man with the Twisted Lip," first published in the December 1891 issue of The Strand Magazine, Holmes encounters a man who gives up his career as a journalist to become a beggar because he can make more money that way. He says: “I painted my face, and to make myself as pitiable as possible I made a good scar and fixed one side of my lip in a twist by the aid of a small slip of flesh-coloured plaster. Then with a red head of hair, and an appropriate dress, I took my station in the business part of the city, ostensibly as a match-seller but really as a beggar. For seven hours I plied my trade, and when I returned home in the evening I found to my surprise that I had received no less than 26s.”

Outside the ATM door often seen are the little kids decked up with jholas. A slightly ealder kid might just be accompanied with some one lesser than his or her age acquiring knowledge and procuring the art of gaining without pain yeah begging. The younger one infact is admitted to the graduate school of begging and might as well he is graduating as a expert in the application of the subject that is begging. The above mentioned catastrophical practice pevelant in India has cribbled its able and healthy population who has given up for this highly easy way of making money. "Allah ke naam pe kuch de de baba" "Bhagawan tera bhala karega"

If it is the month of The Prophet ,Ramzan then they are trained to say "Allah ke..." . Beggary knows no religion. A hindu beggar passing by a Masjid could jus t have go for a make over -wear a topi and yell out loud, and trouble allah again and agian. The admirer of allah now changes his shift ,may be goes to a temple and looks for humble souls and blesses them from the bottom of his heart and loves to say.."bhagwan tera bhala kare"

Well we all must agree religion falls at the hand of beggars..boundaries disappear, they ar the super humans!!

well off late it has been not just begging but begging with style. I remember as a kid in a small town of Orissa, Baripada the regular friday early morning buzzzz at the door..few leprosy affected but recovered asking for alms. A very generous grandmother who would not even care about what she has to wear or eat is keen on helping the poor lot. She feeds one of them once a week and if i am not wrong and my memory not betraying me she donates clothes and good bucks. They were simple human beings, disowned for the cause of leprosy. They wore tattered clothes and some even came on wheel chairs. They were worth inducing pain at heart. You might just look at them and pause for a while to think about them. Your hand just might slide into your pocket and search for that least valued coin and just give it off.

Woah!!! its so different now??":.Beautiful style dude!! I was in a hurry. Wanted some cash immediately. ATM ATM! The right place to be. Yes i knew it and even those bunch of stylish beggars had the knowledge of it.

Let me picture them..

There were three.. I have come across many of the similar sort in Manipal but this time it was just so fashionable. With the long bags beautifuly designed with colours flug to one corner of the body, nice beads stood a guy. There was a girl wo was a faculty to the one younger to her.

Well I envied the bag but what i envied more is the cool dude's style. Khane ke liye paisa chahiye..bhuka hu says he!!!

I was astouned,"Damit he has got a chewing gum in his mouth,Anu"

The next moment he just spits it out with a scornful smile approaches a guy who has just stepped out of the ATM.

I just exclaim kooool!

Another etch from my observo-scope..

I was in a bus on my way to mangalore. The bus had stopped the Udupi bus stop.I was just peeping out of the window and suddenly caught sight of the modern batter bussiness!! I would love to call it outsourcing of resources and then pushing it for the self tooo!!

Two to three women of the same beggars' community were exchanging coins for notes and may be a ruppee or 2 extra for the transaction with the local bus conductors!

Yeah they need lots and lots of coins -who the bus guys to make their jobs easy and the SBs just have it.With amazing stlye check they do mind blowing biz!

On lighter notes it might end up having a beggars' world similar to that of the corporate world. Newer ideas and inventory entrepreneurs, might as well work for globalized social and business networks..Beware Biggies..hehe;)
